Silica Refractory Bricks are acidic refractory materials primarily composed of Phosphoquartz and Orthoclase Quartz, with a SiO₂ content of ≥94%. These bricks offer excellent high-temperature resistance and are highly effective in resisting acidic environments. With a high load softening point of 1640–1670°C, they exhibit stable volume even at high temperatures, making them ideal for a wide range of furnaces, kilns, and other load-bearing applications.

Product Features

  • Excellent Acid Resistance: Silica bricks have strong resistance to acidic slag erosion, making them perfect for acid-prone furnaces and melting kilns.
  • High Load Softening Point: The load softening temperature can reach up to 1640–1670°C, allowing these bricks to withstand prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
  • Stable Volume: These bricks maintain stable volume even at high temperatures, ensuring long-lasting durability.
  • Thermal Stability: While silica bricks have poor thermal stability below 800°C (due to crystallographic changes in quartz), they perform excellently in high-temperature conditions, ideal for use in high-temperature environments.

Applications

  • Coke Ovens: Used for the separation walls in carbonization and combustion chambers.
  • Steel Flat Furnaces: Commonly used in soaking pits and slagging chambers.
  • Reheating Furnaces: Ideal for use in furnace linings.
  • Glass Melting Kilns: Silica bricks are used in the refractory linings of glass melting furnaces.
  • Ceramic Firing Kilns: Suitable for high-temperature applications in ceramic firing.
  • Hot Blast Stoves: Used in high-temperature load-bearing areas.
  • Acidic Roof of Blast Furnaces: Especially useful in the acidic environment of blast furnace roofs.
