LC 70 Low Cement Refractory Castable is a high-performance monolithic refractory designed for demanding high-temperature industrial applications. It is formulated with high-alumina bauxite and corundum aggregates and fine powders, combined with a low-cement bonding system to achieve a dense and strong refractory structure.
With an Al₂O₃ content of at least 70% and a CaO content of no more than 2.2%, LC 70 provides excellent refractoriness, high mechanical strength, and resistance to thermal and chemical attack. Its dense microstructure helps reduce slag penetration and improves resistance to erosion and abrasion during continuous high-temperature operation.
Compared with conventional high-cement castables, LC 70 uses a reduced cement content and optimized particle packing system. This helps reduce porosity and water demand while improving cold crushing strength and high-temperature structural stability. LC 70 Low Cement Refractory Castable is suitable for furnace linings and components exposed to thermal cycling, mechanical abrasion, high-temperature gases, molten materials, and chemical attack.
